The mini smokes can be used for many different types of pests but for use with moths you should use:
1 Smoke for a room 4m x 3m
2 Smokes for a room 4m x 6m
4 Smokes for a room 6m x 8m
(Assumes a standard ceiling height of 2.5m)
For best results fumigate in the late afternoon and leave the house or area for a minimum of 2 hours.
1 - Consider how many smokes you need for the room that you are treating. Heavier infestations may require more than one application or at least double the number of smoke generators.
2 - Clear people and animals including fish from the room before use.
3 - Place the smoke(s) spaced out on the floor surface on a heat resistant surface e.g. a plate on top of a sheet of 50cm x 50cm. (It is important to do so as this product may emit some sparks from the fuse upon ignition. Caution must be taken when lighting the product)
4 - Make the area to be fumigated as smoke tight as possible by closing all windows etc. Seal up open chimneys.
5 - Open the canisters and the light the fuse of the smoke furthest from your exit point, and then light the next smoke and move towards your exit point closing the door behind you. If possible, seal round the door with masking tape.
6 - Leave for at least 2 hours but preferably overnight and then ventilate the room thoroughly.
7 - For severe infestations fumigate 3 times at 5 to 7 day intervals.
