Using Pro-Active C Against Case Bearing Carpet MothIf treating for a Moth infestation in a carpet you will need to vacuum the carpet thoroughly, then, using the Pro-Active C, which is a water-based, odourless Insecticide, spray all around the outside edges of the carpet (about 50cms into the centre of the room). If you can, pull the edge of the carpet back and spray the back of the carpet too, but if this is not practical for you, then ensure, when spraying, you concentrate the spray so some seeps between the skirting board and the carpet. Also spray underneath any furniture. |
Using Insectrol Against Case Bearing MothIf you're treating a particularly deep pile carpet or generally prefer to use an aerosol (which can be easier to manoeuvre) then use the Insectrol Insect Killer instead of the Pro-Active C. This is solvent based and not odourless, but has great knock-down abilities and will remain residual for about 25 days. The treatment is the same process as the Pro-Active C. |
Using Mini / Midi Smokes Against Case Bearing MothYou may also want to treat your Moth problem using Mini/Midi Smoke Bombs. These are a fantastic, quick known-down Moth Killer, but really need to be used in conjunction with a residual insecticide such as Pro-Active C or Insectrol as they offer no on-going protection against the Moths, which is vital in the fight. |
Using Pro-Active Dust Against Case Bearing MothFor those with concerns over using Insecticides in the home the Pro-Active Diatomaceous Earth is a totally non-toxic way of dealing with the Moth problem. This is a desiccant dust that works by spearing the exterior of the insect, meaning they cannot retain water and will dehydrate resulting in death. |
Using Oa2ki Against Case Bearing MothIf treating for a Moth infestation in a carpet you will need to vacuum the carpet thoroughly, then, using the Oa2ki, which is a water-based, odourless Insecticide, spray all around the outside edges of the carpet (about 50cms into the centre of the room). If you can, pull the edge of the carpet back and spray the back of the carpet too, but if this is not practical for you, then ensure, when spraying, you concentrate the spray so some seeps between the skirting board and the carpet.
