Fabric pests feed on Katrin found in natural fibres.

Any high natural fibred content items can be placed in poly bags with air squeezed out and placed in the freezer for 72 hours to kill any moth eggs,larvae,adult that may be embedded in fibres, or dry-cleaning but this can be expensive if there are a lot of items.

Most fabric pests are active outdoors in the summer and fly into buildings to lay their eggs.

Pro-Active C or Pro-Control can then be applied being careful not to over spray, a fine coverage is all that is needed. Be sure to spray all internal surfaces of wardrobe and drawers. Allow this to dry (normally two hours) and then replace clothing. We do not suggest to spray clothing directly due to skin irritation that may be caused. Treatment needs to be repeated every 30 days , normally 2-3 treatments is adequate to deal with a moth infestation.

These are an excellent new addition to our moth range.

They last up to six months and are odourless.

They give protection to wardroboes and drawers, the strips can be separated to make smaller pieces for drawers, suitcases etc.

Good for placing in with stored items.

Contains Transluthrin 0.02% Will kill adult moth, larvae and eggs.

Should be used in conjuction with insecticidal treatment for quicker eradication.

Using Pheromone Traps Against Clothes Moth

Very effective against Webbing Clothes moth, contains sex attractant (impregnated into the glue surface) that attracts the male adult moth which get trapped on the sticky surface.

These are best place inside affected wardrobes on the hanger of clothing, if using demi-diamond holders. Otherwise glue pads can be stuck to interior of wardrobe.

The traps provide a monitoring source and also help break down the cycle.

Best used in conjunction with insecticidal treatment to eradicate infestation quicker.

Using Pro-Control Against Clothes Moth

A popular aerosol, this is solvent based ideal for use on interior of wardrobes and drawers.

Remove clothing from furniture you wish to treat, vacuum thoroughly and dispose of bag afterwards.

Then apply Pro-Control aerosol to interiors of furniture and leave to dry before replacing clothing.

This treatment needs to be repeated every 30 days until problem is eradicated (normally 2-3 treatments).

Not adviasable to spray clothes with this product as it is solvent based and may cause skin irritation.

Using Mini Smokes Against Clothes Moth

You may also want to treat your Moth problem using Mini Smoke Bombs. These are a fantastic, quick known-down Moth Killer, but really need to be used in conjunction with a residual insecticide such as Pro-Active C or Pro-Control as they offer no on-going protection against the Moths, which is vital in the fight.

For best results you should ensure the room is as smoke tight as possible (close all windows and air vents), it is also advisable to fumigate late in the afternoon as you can then leave the room vacant over night. You will need to use one unit per 120 cubic metres.

Place the Smoke bomb on the floor on a heat-proof plate (such as a baking tray), light the fuse and leave the room, sealing the door on your exit.

Next day, you can then begin to apply the residual Insecticides such as Pro-Active C or Pro-Control.

Open wardrobe doors and drawers to allow smoke to penetrate clothing.

Using Oa2ki Against Clothes Moth

For the ‘Green User’ this product contains no poison and kills using natural means, fatty acids break down the insects protective barriers and therefore kills it. Low odour and can be applied to surfaces not damaged by water.

This can be applied the same as Pro-Control and Pro-Active C.
