Information on Insectrol Aerosol

Insectrol aerosol can be used in very much the same way as Pro-Active C. It can be sprayed directly onto the carpets and skirting boards, as well as furniture. The most common places to find the case bearing carpet moth are the outside edges of rooms and underneath any furniture that doesn't get moved very often. With this knowledge you should concentrate the spray in those areas unless you have found them elsewhere. It is best to vacuum before you apply the insectrol to any areas of the carpet and try not to vacuum again for the next 30 days to leave the residual effect of the insecticide. If you are worried about the effect of the aerosol on the carpet you should test it on an inconspicuous part of the carpet.

The aerosol can also be used as a knock down spray, so it can be sprayed directly onto the moth or the larvae. In doing so you can help break down the cycle and stop the moths from laying further eggs.
